Thought-provoking piece, which, by the way, has received a lot of claps! Me, I like, love, recommend, clap, whatever is called for, as a way to show my support and appreciation for something that was worth my time to read, and to show my appreciation for the effort it took to put an intelligent piece together. I don’t care about the rest of it. That’s somebody else’s trip — if it’s important to them to be “viral”, more power to them. That always sounded like having the flu to me. I tend to stick to posts that only have a few likes, loves, recommends, claps, or whatever. When I first got on Cowbird, I intentionally avoided the stories that were more “popular” — I sought out the ones that only had a few loves, as they were the ones that seemed to be, like me, new and finding their voice. They needed my support, and I, theirs. I felt like I got too popular there, myself, for awhile, and didn’t think I would have read my stuff, if I was new like I had been. A conundrum, for sure. Thanks for making us think about this. Think I’ll give you a few more claps! :-)

Connecting the dots. Storytelling helps me to make sense of this world, and of my life. I love writing and reading. Writing is like breathing, for me.
