Successful people understand that whatever they focus their mind on and put effort towards will ultimately lead them to where they want to be. When all your energy is spent focused on achieving a goal, you become aware of opportunities more often and open yourself up to receiving and using as much information as possible on a subject.
This increased focus leads people to spot a potential opportunity in the market, go to the right conference, to meet and talk to the right person. A number of what some might call twists of fate that can come together to make success happen.Successful people however know these aren’t twists of fate at all. They are the outcomes of focus, effort and commitment. What you feed grows, what you starve dies.
Successes act as a very strong magnet. The vast majority of people don’t like risk and therefore always back winners. Successful people find that more and more people want to be a part of what they have achieved so to be successful by association. This is a very powerful tool and gives already successful people a tremendous amount of access to new opportunities, and a lot more choice. Instead of running around looking for new opportunities, new contacts come to them with ideas and projects as they want them to be in the best hands possible.
A body in motion tends to stay in motion. This is a fundamental law of physics that is also true about success. Success leads to more success. Its about one small win leads to another small win, eventually leading to something big and so on and so on for as long as effort is made. Successful people are acting on momentum whereas others have momentum acting on them.
Success is about getting in the right state of flow. Successful people realised early on that to get in this flow requires them to act quickly and start moving, keep moving and not let anything get in the way. The good news is that the faster you move, the more energy you have. The faster you move, the more experience you get and the more you learn. The faster you move, the more competent and capable you become.
The law of momentum has nothing to do with being very intelligent (it helps) or having some sort of advantage handed to you. It’s not about having a powerful family to promote your business interests. It’s the continued dedication to a goal you choose and never ever give up whatever the odds. Then once a slither of success occurs, you maximise the outcome by using it to drive yourself forward in whatever means you can find.
