Actually, I was required to sit through an 8 hour class, qualify on the range and pass an FBI background check to get my concealed carry permit. Oh, and add the about $300 in permit and class fees. If the Fed wants to impose a tougher background check I’d support that as long as I don’t have to pay the thousands to process it. Serious background checks cost money.
