As someone of hybrid European extraction and lifelong supporter (until recently) of the European project, I am one of many who was in favour of Brexit because of the scandalous policies being pursued by Jean-Claude Juncker and his clique who incidentally pushed quite a few doubters in the Leave direction through their interventions during the referendum debate.

As a British national I am embarrassed by the shameful behaviour of Theresa May and her lot.

Both the UK and Europe need to go through their respective crises and be rebuilt socially from the bottom up. The time could be now if there are sufficient numbers of citizens everywhere willing to set aside nationality and nationalism and build on the existing people’s momentum to change the way politics is conducted. Demanding electoral reform would be a good start.
