Dr Washington Sanchez: because 1 MB is fairly small, testing against even smaller blocks produces only modest changes in the propagation time (the propagation time is mostly due to the “offset” as opposed to the “slope” of the time-vs-size curve). What I would like to do is experiment on testnet so that we can test up to 100 MB blocks (or more). I also agree that a larger node count would be ideal (one challenge is that nodes on the other side of the GFC are $$).
