This simply isn’t true — I hate to burst your bubble. Although it is inconvenient and wrong that the University makes it so hard for Indian applicants to apply, it is false to say that Cambridge academics take anyone in on a ‘sob story’, and they certainly don’t view oriental cultures as ‘savage’. They take students on academic ability and references alone. Cambridge has one of the largest populations of ‘Oriental’ students of any British university, and they aren’t discriminated against during their degree. Don’t make lazy comments on a institutions with which you have no experience with.
