Why charter schools? Because there’s big money at stake. Billionaire Rupert Murdoch, who has given money to one of the organizations that funded the Olympics ad campaign, once told reporters, “When it comes to K through 12 education, we see a $500 billion sector in the U.S. alone.”

Nice red herring.

The NY Times reported that Rupert Murdoch gave money to Education Reform Now, although you neglect to mention that article was published more than five years ago, when ERN’s efforts were focused on New York.

You’re using a ridiculous quote from the equally ridiculous Rupert Murdoch to insinuate that contributors to the pro-charter campaign in Massachusetts are seeking a financial benefit in return, but provide zero evidence to support that claim.
