A lot of people who have imposter syndrome have it because they shouldn’t be in the industry. Software matters and people taking up space at senior levels that a junior developer would be better placed to take harms product value, which impacts customers which, if the product is something genuinely worthwhile, makes the world a slightly worse place. I know it’s not a popular opinion but people who have imposter syndrome should maybe consider that they are blocking people who are able to make the things they work on better from getting a chance to do so. Feelings happen for a reason…
