Consent: lost (GDPR) and found (ePrivacy)
Robert Madge

Hi Robert,

I’m one of the inventors of Do Not Track (we were the first to invent the idea of Privacy from within the browser). I’d like to chat if you have a moment — especially about this comment….

The ‘Do Not Track’ indicator, as set in a browser or equivalent, will have to be communicated to all parties who get user data and it will be a legal obligation to act on this.

Which I completely agree with by the way. The devil though is in the details. In my opinion Do Not Track has zero capability to support Privacy — which is why we went a whole lot further than the original idea and built a complete Privacy by Design platform.
