“American fascists” is your overly broad term, she never described fascists in that way. She was talking about people on the anti-establishment right, and how they are sometimes misunderstood and mischaracterized – say, with sweeping, convenient generalizations. She was referring specifically to people who aren’t fascists, who the anti-establishment left can collaborate with on particular issues with which they happen to share common ground.
