I think I technically belong to this millennial generation, but apparently I’m far too jaded for Sanders’ enthusiasm to touch me. When an ideologue speaks, I tend to let my thoughts drift and not take them too seriously. I don’t doubt that Sanders’ passion is genuine, I just doubt that it is enough to pass any of the progressive agenda that he proposes, especially when I can’t see Republicans working with him even one iota if he were to be the president.

Despite my lack of enthusiasm for the man as president, however, I do appreciate all that he has done to push the Democrats further to the left. I think he has managed to make some of his ideas palatable when prior to this election cycle they would have been toxic, and that is a very good thing for Democrats in the long run.
