I see the point, but empathy and competition are different values that each apply on different situations, which by themselves foretell the one or the other. It is not a question of absolute choice between one of the two. That is impossible and inefficient.
There are three factors. The first is that AI can impossibly take over human evolution, the second is that it’s true human culture hardly understands its own evolution, with its often inverted effects, so yes there is a lot to improve when this is concerned in consciouness and in knowledge.
The third is that automation can create a selfserving neutralisaton of known differences, nothing beyond that. So it does not need to answer questions humans cannot even answer themelves. It’s not that human culture will first have to evolve before machines can offer the right answers, because the questions they have to answer are not unknowns at their level of functioning.
