The future of energy isn’t fossil fuels or renewables, it’s nuclear fusion
Ethan Siegel

In 1975 I wrote a report for my high school government class in which i out lined the “Use of Nuclear Fusion” & the corruption of the Nuclear Fission Power industry.

I also realized and pointed out the issues of a “Fukushima style disaster” and that it would be quite the end of human life.

You did NOT point out one of the MAJOR POINTS in my report of Nuclear FUSION. Ocean water has deuterium:

Wiki: Deuterium has a natural abundance in Earth’s oceans of about one atom in 6420 of hydrogen. Thus deuterium accounts for approximately 0.0156% (or on a mass basis 0.0312%) of all the naturally occurring hydrogen in the oceans…

Also from Wiki: Deuterium fusion, also called deuterium burning, is a nuclear fusion reaction that occurs in stars and some substellar objects, in which a deuterium nucleus and a proton combine to form a helium-3 nucleus. It occurs as the second stage of the proton–proton chain reaction, in which a deuterium nucleus formed from two protons fuses with another proton, but can also proceed from primordial deuterium.

It is possible to do a magnetic chamber, but the idea of the Fission bomb is much more profitable to the fission industry. Therefore any and all attempts are of course “labeled” impossible & expensive.
