How I’m Using AI to Make Money on YouTube Without Showing My Face
The AI Revolution opened the door to many online businesses, and YouTube is one of the most profitable. This is how I’m using AI to make money on YouTube.
It’s no secret that YouTube channels can generate an absurd amount of money. But until now, you needed to be confident in front of the camera to make it work.
The new AI tools appearing on the market changed all of that.
You can now create a new income stream on YouTube without showing your face or using your real voice. And this is precisely what I have been doing since January. I created a few faceless YouTube channels to generate extra income.
This article will reveal my plan regarding my main faceless YouTube channel and how I use AI to earn money.
Faceless YouTube Channels
If you don't know, these are YouTube channels where the owner does not show his face. An example would be documentary-based channels or any channel that uses stock footage or animation to tell a story.
Until now, it was pretty hard to make a channel like that.
You needed a lot of time to write the script, find footage or do animations, and record the voiceover. You could pay a freelancer to do it, but in the long run, it will get costly.
Luckily, AI tools can do all of that faster than ever. Here’s what apps I use for my faceless YouTube channel:
- VidIQ for video ideas
- ChatGPT for scriptwriting
- WellSaid Labs for voiceovers
- Pictory for video creation
This is how everything ties together.
First, I use VidIQ to find a list of video ideas and save that into a Google Sheets file. Then ChatGPT will help me create the script for the video. After that, I can add the script to WellSaid Labs, and it will generate a high-quality human-like voiceover.
Next, I will create the actual video. For my YouTube channel, I use stock footage. This is where Pictory can find the footage for me using the script I created earlier. Add the voiceover, and the video is done.
The last part is uploading and optimizing the video. VidIQ can help here. It can give you title ideas, generate a video description, and find the best tags.

There are other AI apps out there that can help you create faceless videos, but these are the ones working for me.
You can choose to use just one or two, and they will still help you save a lot of time and money when creating video content. Initially, I only used the text-to-speech app WellSaid Labs and ChatGPT.
The Next Step
To maximize the profit and reach of my YouTube channel, I will move to YouTube Automation.
Don’t let the name scare you. It has nothing to do with bots or spam. It’s all about outsourcing every component of the video creation, making it look automated.
This is where I will stop using AI tools and rely on freelancers to do the work instead. They will probably use the AI.

Transitioning to this business model is not necessary, but it looks like the logical next step, especially if you want to scale your channel.
Making money on YouTube is not hard, especially when using AI tools, but it takes consistent effort. Don’t expect to get rich after posting ten videos.
The channels that make it are the ones with hundreds of videos.
