Yo, Instagram folks. Holding packets of tea is not a business model.

I agree with you that audience in and of itself isn’t a business model, but holding packets of tea absolutely is.

Actors and entertainers have done this for decades, and built million dollar businesses from product endorsements.

They’ve held packets of tea, filmed commercials, attended events, signed books, wrote books.

But everything was tied to their name, and rare few of them, if any, created a random “channel” you are suggesting they do. In fact, when they did try to expand beyond their personal brand, it mostly didn’t work out well.

Creatomic is a great idea, but you are probably aware that your value is bound to Jon Westenberg brand, your writing, and your philosophy.

You just invented a whole new thing that may or may not have anything to do with you, which could be quite alienating to the very audience you are attempting to scale and monetize.

I understand you’re trying to build something larger than “you”, but be aware that’s a personal decision, not a business one.

You can build a huge business with a personal brand if you know how to play the cards right.
