November 15–17 we saw a change within the App Store for iPhones via Sonar (within the Tune platform).
Apparently Apple made a change to how Product Page Views is counted in App Analytics. Apple will no longer be counting pre-loaded product pages. Some campaigns on apps or ad networks are running pre-loaded product pages with the ads. This inflates the number of views.
Moving forward, the change will better reflect when an app’s product page is viewed.
