Pets are amazing. Anyone who has ever owned a cat or dog will tell you the same. In fact there’s a good chance you’ve owned, or currently own a pet. Our relationship with our animals are special, they become an extended member of the family.

Our smartphones have an abundance of apps for interacting with our human friends, but what about our furry friends? The digital world seemingly ignores our love for animals and pets. And so because we love pets, there’s now an app for that…

Your new pet companion app

Petpoc is an iPhone app for you and your pets. Whether you have a cat, dog, rabbit, bird, fish or anything with four legs, this app is designed for you.

What can I do?

Everybody loves photos of your dog doing cute things, it’s what the internet was built for. But there’s something lacking. Wouldn’t it be great to do more with your photos than just add filters? We want to add more character and flair to your photos! The Photobooth in Petpoc comes with dozens (soon to be hundreds) of stickers to add to your photos. You’re going to love editing photos and dressing up your pet with wacky accessories! Express yourself and your pet.

You’re probably already taking lots of photos of your dog and sharing them on Snapchat, Facebook or Instagram. These photos are either not saved or they’re lost in the mix of all your other photos. With Petpoc, all your pet photos get stored straight into your personal Diary. Now you’ve always got easy access to an album of your favorite pet photos.

One more thing…

Of course everything is better with cute cats in it, right!? So wouldn’t it be great if you could also bring your pets into your favorite games?

Petpoc is shipping with a number of minigames included in the app. In each game, your pet becomes the player. Imagine a Pac-Man game where your dog is running around the maze collecting dog bones. Or a Candy Crush style game where your pets become the candy and you have to match them up! For the first time ever, your pets become the stars of your favorite games.

A personal note

Petpoc has been described as a digital toy. It’s a fun app for you to interact with your pet(s) in a new, exciting way. It’s an app I wanted to see and something I think a lot of other people want to see too.

I feel incredibly lucky to be able to work on something I’m passionate about. I get to wake up everyday, open my laptop and turn this vision I have in my head into code and pixels on a screen.

This is just the beginning but I’m super excited to see people use Petpoc with their pets. I can’t wait to see the great photos and experiences you come up. This is the beginning of a big adventure. I hope to have you along to share the journey!

When is the app available?

The app is scheduled to launch on the App Store mid August 2014. There’s still a lot more work to get it ready for launch so please be patient!
