Semi-crystalline polyvinylidene fluoride is a substance. PVDF is a predestined material for the construction of plastic pipelines due to its mechanical properties, chemical resistance, and particularly its high rigidity, stability, and outstanding resistance, even under the influence of temperatures around 0°C.

Due to the high proportion of flour (59%) in the material, the long-term rupture strength is exceptionally strong and has a high distortion temperature. PVDF demonstrates its true advantages in higher temperatures coupled with excellent chemical resistance.

Chemical sustainability

PVDF is resistant to most inorganic acids and salts, even at high temperatures and concentrations. Additionally, it is resistant to organic acids, alcohols, and aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. PVDF expands in strong polar solvents like ketone or esters. Alkali metals, for instance, and strong basic amines are not resistant to PVDF.

PVDF application temperature and pressure range
