Have you ever wondered why are children movies made? Or who came up with that idea? Or are for example some of these movies trying to teach us and show us something? Have you ever sat on the couch in your free time just to watch some Disney movie and to think about the reason of watching it? Also, can you relate any of the situations in these movies to our reality? Those who enjoy watching children movies will know how these movies actually influence our way of thinking and change and build our characters. Only those people will understand what is the sense in them and will be able to realise that our world can be as beautiful as Disneyland and fairy tales are. A lot of you may say that it is a non sense, but later we will see what different people think about it.

Having said that my sister watched “Beauty and the Beast” couple of days ago.

I asked her on purpose if she knows what is the movie trying to tell us, and she said that “It’s not important if you are ugly or not, but it’s more important how you feel inside and if you are a good person or not”.

For those that haven’t watched “Beauty and the Beast”, it is a movie about true love. Love between the most beautiful girl in town(Belle) and a prince (the Beast) who was enhanced by a witch because of his bad and selfish behaviour towards people.

Belle meets the Beast when her father goes to an event. He got lost in the forest and accidentally bumps into the Beast castle. He is locked by him into the castles’ prison and when Belle finds her father, she suggests to stay a prisoner instead of him forever.

On the other hand, the most handsome guy in the town (Gaston) is in love with Belle, but she doesn’t even notice him. Time passes and Belle falls in love with the Beast because inside he is what she has always wanted and dreamt of. And Gaston, because of being evil, envious and selfish, when he finds out about the love between the Beauty and the Beast, he starts making people feel insecure and scared, and suggests to kill the Beast.

The magic upon the Beast could be destroyed only if he wins the love of Belle and she tells him that she loves him before the last leaf of an enhanced rose falls.

The story is showing us that true love cannot be bought. Nobody can stand between two people that love each other, no matter anything. No matter how efforts Gaston is putting in killing the Beast so he can have the girl, Belle is still in love with him and she is fighting and defending this love with her life. This movie teaches us that appearance is not always important, and that we should never judge the book by its cover.

Each movie has its’ hidden meaning in terms of life lessons, morals and advices. Characters are made similar to different personalities in the real life. Fairy tales shows us that there are two points of view. In one hand people lie, steal and blame each other when they are guilty, they are selfish and envious. And on the other hand, movies show us that we can be honest, caring, believing and fighting for our dreams. That the good always wins if you are not afraid to stand in front of your fears and show them who you are and what you are capable of. Let see how many people had a proper thought about it and what is their opinion.
