Faculty Death

A Liberty University Education professor passed away last night at the age of 58. Elizabeth Billson had battled with cancer over the past 10 years. She taught for 36 years, and is estimated to have taught over 10,000 students throughout her career. Bilson was awarded the universities “Outstanding Professor” award last year.

Wreck

Two trucks collided head-on last night due to I-59 undergoing repairs. Fuel form both trucks spilled onto the highway, both drivers braked, but the two still collided. The drivers walked away uninjured but both were cited for speeding and reckless driving.

The road ways were blocked for 45 minutes, causing a traffic jam. One truck was refrigerated and by the time everything was cleared up most of the contents were thawed, causing a loss of $10,000 in goods.
