Disneyland soon to fill with booze & bounty hunters.
Doing some scrolling through Mashable and I stumbled upon an article about Disneyland serving alcohol…. say what?
As a Disney season pass holder, immediately, I clicked on the article. I couldn’t believe my eyes. In what world was Disneyland going to be serving alcohol?? This one, apparently! I had known that the parks out in Anaheim, California were kept dry and free of alcohol… until Oga’s Cantina came along and will soon bless our souls.
In all honesty, I was surprised finding this information out. Walt Disney created the parks for a wholesome and child friendly experience, so it never made sense to me to have alcohol in the parks… until I turned 21 and wanted to roam around Disney, in an inebriated state.
This bar, part of the developing Star War’s: Galaxy’s Edge park expansion, is currently in the works. I think this will only increase business at Disneyland, as park-goers will be happily (& drunkenly) be able to walk thorough Black Spire.
I don’t think alcohol would be served out in the California parks, if there had been a negative outcome from serving alcohol in the parks in Florida and all around the rest of the world. There has been alcohol served in these parks for long before this development happened, so hopefully the result is the same out in California. This huge addition should help increase business for food and park attendance.
Disneyland serving alcohol is something people have wished for and dreaded for a long time. Some people despise it, and others can’t wait for the bar to just open already. I personally can see myself flying out to get a drink and save the galaxy, any other takers?
