STAYING SAFE DURING THE CORONA VIRUS OUTBREAK

By tommyandone

The recent outbreak of the COVID-19 virus has suddenly opened the eyes of many to taking hygiene matters seriously. This could be as a result of the wide use of social media and other forms of media. More people have access to information and are able to quickly spread out received information to other people especially friends and family.

The first case of the disease was discovered in Wuhan, China when a cluster of 41 cases of pneumonia was identified. Since then, scientists have been searching for where the disease began. It is, however, a known fact that the disease can be spread from human to human through very little contact and this has added to its wide and fast spread. Unfortunately, symptoms may not show immediately and an infected person may unknowingly spread the disease to a healthy person.

PREVENTIVE MEASURES FOR COVID-19

The World Health Organization (WHO) has shared some tips for staying safe during the COVID-19 outbreak. Adhering to these safety measures can help improve the chances of you and your loved ones escaping the pandemic. Below are the safety measures to adhere to:

Wash Your Hands Regularly

Washing your hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and water or rubbing them with an alcohol-based sanitizer will kill any viruses that may be on your hands.

Avoid Touching Your Mouth, Eyes, and Nose

Avoid touching your mouth, eyes, and nose: These are openings where the virus can gain access to your body from. The hands touch a lot of things and by doing so, may pick up the virus which is then transferred into the body by touching the eyes, nose or mouth. By keeping your hands away from these parts as much as possible will help reduce the chances of you contracting the disease.

Maintain a Social Distance

Maintain a social distance of about 1 meter from anyone who is coughing or sneezing. When a person coughs or sneezes, they spray tiny droplets of spittle which may be carrying the virus if the person is infected. An uninfected person may then breathe in these droplets and become infected.

This means coughing or sneezing into your elbow or some tissue paper and immediately disposing of the tissue paper. This would greatly reduce the spread of the disease. You can also purchase breathable viral barrier n95 masks from PharmEnvee.

PharmEnvee is an approved wholesaler focused on winning the war against the coronavirus pandemic by working hand in hand with the developers of breathable viral barrier masks and the new CoronaCide which is a chlorine-based powerful disinfectant that has been scientifically proven to kill coronavirus on contact.

Other ways to stay safe during this period are to limit visiting places with a large population as much as possible and follow the advice of healthcare providers. Also, ensure you contact your doctor immediately if you notice any symptoms.
