Yancy Trinidad: Going fashion-forward
This hard-working and dedicated Filipino talent is ready to take on the international fashion scene
Yancy Trinidad’s potential and possibility in the fashion industry knows no bounds. Hailing from the southern Philippines, this international event specialist who has made a name for himself in the local fashion business is now making waves in the international scene.
A homegrown talent who moved to Manila after college to pursue his dream of being a fashion and lifestyle event director, Yancy now counts the likes of Forever21, Facebook, Magnum, Sofitel, Calvin Klein among the notches under his belt for leading and directing their event launches. Starting as a talent coordinator and stage manager, Yancy readily worked his way up through his unrelenting grit and admirable professionalism to become the stage manager and event director for a number of red-letter events held in the metro.
Earning his stripes with esteemed industry pioneer Robby Carmona of SAGA Events, Yancy has helmed some of the biggest fashion events in recent history. His work experience was further augmented by projects spanning the SEA region like the Miss Earth 2010 pageant in Vietnam and Malaysia International Fashion Week in 2011, both of which Yancy was an active part of.
He is trusted by fashion designers like Pia Gladys Perey, Ryan Madamba, and Albert Andrada for their style shows. Yancy is also the name behind the unforgettable Balesin Island wedding of power couple Senator Chiz Escudero and showbiz stunner Heart Evangelista. Putting to good use his learnings from Central Saint Martins in London, Yancy moved on to a much-lauded stint in Copenhagen Fashion Week.
Clocking in a solid eight years — and counting — in the industry, Yancy, ever the fashion-forward visionary is setting his sights on bigger, better, bolder endeavors in the international arena. Truly, there’s no stopping this force of fashion.
