To Blame a Feminist

Ha! That winds you up… Grow some balls. Try being a male feminist.

Imagine yourself as a man who sees women as totally equal, well, actually who feels that women are quite a bit more evolved in the ‘emotional intelligence’ area, well, and on the whole, much more suited to creating sustainable communities, well, and, perhaps an ability to plan for the future better than men, and, well, the world would be a better place if women were in charge…

Anyway. Try being an english man in an england full mostly of men exactly as you describe. You — as a woman — can challenge that guy, at least ‘try’ to make him see his own sexist point of view…

Now be me for a second, in a pub full of blokes shouting “GO OOOOONNN GET THAT FUCKING BALL IN THE NET”… at the TV. Imagine what it’s like to hear ‘grown men’ speak of their partners in a disgustingly derisory, condescending way, reinforcing their own feelings of inadequacy with another pint and a “yeah mate, that’s just women mate”.

The chance for me to readress this behaviour is much, much less than yours. Men react quite aggressively to other men being ‘a feminist’, especially in aput with other men around. I live in this world, it’s horrible.

The point is — in my opinion — that women would benefit from a slight change in strategy. If we (each gender) really try to ‘understand’ each other — not criticise, ridicule, poke fun at or whatever, then we might make some headway. Ironically, the burden for this strategy falls on women and the other men like me who are not afraid of women, who unfortunately are in the minority. Understand that most men are afraid of women, get inside of the head of most men — who feel that women are clever creatures that can cry and other weird stuff, they can make babies when men can only fuck. I could go on.

That guy *could* change his opinion, i feel you are wrong to say he will never, all he needs in understanding, let me have him for a couple of pints (without his friends nearby) and i could educate him no problem. *All* of the behavioral aspects you mentioned to me scream ‘fear’ on his part, if women can start to see this, i really feel we can all change the world for the better.

Men aspire to be more like women, that’s why they suppress them, understand that and the floodgates open…

PS sorry about the cheap first sentence, i just wanted your attention ;)
