So, I guess I’m one of those people who don’t believe we’ve been “generally beneficent.” I believe the CIA, NSA, etc have been and continue to be as bad as any empire has seen other than the Nazis and the Japanese in WWII. The Brits were not just misunderstood. And, they were thrown out. They didn’t leave of their own accord. They will get their due when they leave the EU if they’re stupid enough to go through with that.

In regards to the end of the American Empire, I’m personally glad. Do I look forward to China taking over? Not at all. I do agree with another comment made here that Russia is finally, slowly, coming to an end. As their income from oil slowly ends so will Russia. The money will leave, the poor will rise up again, and that will be that.

Our only hope is that the Chinese people will do the same and overthrow their government. It will not be easy for them to do so and many will die. But, there’s hope.

At the end, the only solution is a true world government. Do I think this is going to happen? Probably not. Unfortunately, nature didn’t wire us that way. But, humans have made changes that I wouldn’t have believed given all known facts. Maybe we can do it again. I suspect I won’t be around to see it one way or the other. If this works it will have to be the children of the world today who make it happen. I wish them the best of luck.

But, I hope Mr. McCoy is correct and that our hegemony is over by 2030. Even sooner would be better!
