Using Email as a Concierge

In a brainstorming session, we thought of simple questions donors might have. We then took this list of questions and thought of a way to automate a response if we picked up on keywords via email.

Example

A donor made a few donations to a nonprofit throughout the year. Toward the end, they asked the nonprofit for their donation history for tax purposes.

We thought

What if donors could reply or send an email to nonprofitusername@philantro.com with a simple phrase “Donation History” and Philantro would automatically compile their history and send them a breakdown of their previous giving.

So starting in Summer 2015 Update, email concierge will be setup to handle a subset of request on behalf of nonprofits that use Philantro.

To start, request such as:
Donation History
Cancel/Change Recurring Donation
