I’d suggest people stop focussing on the notion of a “Killer Bot”.

Aside from the negative connotations with respect to the marketing and media frenzy as to AI taking over the world ( sigh, can’t we get over this ? ), the actual opportunity here is to reset the Graphical User Interface as the Conversational User Interface.

To that end, all bets are off, all Apps are requiring a face lift and where appropriate all privacy, ethics and surveillance techniques have the chance for a proper ‘reset’.

The game is on folks, don’t allow the hype to over-shadow the hard work that is required to make the CUI and next stage of the Internet’s evolution.
