I see the parallel you describe Paulie but I think that the SJW case involves more of a shame dynamic rather than a guilt one, because it doesn’t relate to any personal consciousness of wrongdoing so much as the internalization (or the imposing) of a collective stigma.

I believe that the logical end state of the SJW project is a shame society which revolves around the public signalling of virtue and the assignment of stigma.
