I’m a Muslim, a woman and an immigrant. I voted for Trump
Asra Nomani

Unfortunately, it seems that the people Trump is nominating for his cabinent may have a difficult time discerning the difference between “radical Islam” and Islam in general, in which case you may find that you will suffer the consequences of this election as much as the “theocratic dictatorships” you hope they pursue. And I truly hope that you’re right that “The checks and balances in America and our rich history of social justice and civil rights will never allow the fear-mongering that has been attached to candidate Trump’s rhetoric to come to fruition,” because if you’re wrong, we will all suffer for it. I hope that you are doing your part to resist the nominations of those who would attempt to impinge on our civil rights and thwart our “rich history of social justice.”
