I use Plato’s Allegory of the Cave to show how our perception is limited to a three dimensional (plus half a time dimension) world, whereas the universe we live in has at least six and probably many more dimensions — the fifth dimension being consciousness (or more accurately thoughts). Thoughts are the only thing in the known universe that can travel forward and backward in time. I explore this in some of my writings but the concept will be explored more thoroughly in my next book The Mind of the Universe.
