Sorry, from north of the border, I’m still trying to figure out your comment giving the United States thanks for Canada. Quebec was more than a decade old when the Mayflower arrived. Of course, I’m still trying to figure out how the pilgrims celebrated the first harvest at the end of November, when it is already well below freezing in the Bay State. An October Thanksgiving, as it is here in La Belle Provence, seems entirely more sensible, and warmer for outdoor dining.
