Blockchain will change the world and Germany is on its way to lead the digital change in this area. Education is always the first step towards the successful implementation of innovation. This is why the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center, in cooperation with BTC-ECHO, will be offering a wide range of online courses on blockchain starting in November 2019. To this end, the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center collaborates with outstanding experts to make their knowledge accessible to the participants.

Germany faces accelerating digital transformation. Now that Germany has been the first EU country to even have a national blockchain strategy, we are stepping on the gas pedal pushing ahead with digitisation by making clever minds even smarter. Education is always the basis for innovation. Therefore, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Frankfurt School Blockchain Academy in cooperation with BTC-ECHO. In video.based online courses, we make the knowledge of recognized blockchain experts accessible to all interested persons.

“Germany may have missed the transition to the digital age. But when it comes to blockchain we can take over the lead. Education and training in new technologies is the first step to achieve this,” says Professor Dr. Philipp Sandner, Head of the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center. “It is extremely important to offer good courses so that young people, employees, founders and decision makers can understand and apply blockchain technology.” Believing in the need for lifelong learning, Simon Seiter, Head of Digital Assets at Deutsche Börse, sums up the importance of the Blockchain Academy: “Germany is struggling to catch up in the field of digitisation. Distributed systems — Blockchain and DLT — have the potential to bring us back into a leading position. We have to foster understanding and education for this.”
