A few weeks ago, President Barack Obama joined theFirst Lady to sort gifts that had been donated to Toys for Tots. Michelle has been helping with this event for the past six years, but it was the first year for the President.

The two were asked to sort gifts into separate boxes, so they could be wrapped for children in categories. The boxes were delineated by gender and age group. President Obama refused to be constrained by gender normative ideas about who should get which toys.

Gotta love that!
