When I was a student, the university courageously and brilliantly (for our education) invited George Lincoln Rockwell, the hen the head of the American Nazi Party, to speak. There was the usual outrage, but the place was packed to listen respectfully to him. He marched in with some of his storm troopers, in full Nazi regalia. There were a few boos. When he spoke, the shock was that he had nothing to say. He was so used to being shouted at, booed, and driven from the stage that he never had to discuss his thoughts. Basically, he had none. My point is that you don’t learn by speaking to like-minded people. You learn from hearing the opposition and those you don’t already know. While I thoroughly dislike Ted Cruz and all he stands for (the same for Mr. Rockwell), I would like the chance to see and hear him in person.
