6 Things You Need to Recover From Every Day
Benjamin P. Hardy

Well done as usual Ben!

I am working on the Fasting and Sleeping recoveries in my own life.

I have always struggled with weight which has lead to a great deal of study for healthy eating habits. Plus I work a job that has me getting out of bed at 0530 in the morning. This cycle goes against my natural bio-rhythm that my body prefers to waking up between 0700 and 0800 and not going to sleep until around Midnight. So now I am working on enforcing a strict bedtime of 1030 so I can work to at least get 6–7 hours of rest per day. I understand that 8 hours a day is recommended but I believe that is outdated information. If I sleep 8 hours, I feel groggy all day long. Plus my body just plain hurts. One’s rest period should be in line with thier natural bio-rhythm if at all possible. Takes a bit of work to determine exactly what that is but it is worth knowing.

I just started eating a later breakfast which seems to be working out well for hitting that 15 hour fast per day. I do combine what I have learned over the years to eat small healthy meals every 2 to 3 hours. That puts my meal targets at 0900, 1200, 3 PM and 6 PM. Now if I can just stop eating after 6 pm, I will be good!
