A business professional in New Jersey, Phil Manfredo serves as an IT project manager for TelePlus Healthcare. Working in the IT sector for more than five years, Phil Manfredo supplements his hands-on experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and CompTIA A+ certification.

Designed for IT professionals at the beginning of their career, CompTIA A+ certification provides professionals with foundational IT skills across several operating systems and devices. With this certification in hand, professionals are better equipped to troubleshoot a range of networking and security issues.

The 220–1001 and 220–1002 are the most recent CompTIA A+ certification exams. These exams cover hardware, cloud computing, network technologies, software troubleshooting, and operational procedures.

The exams consist of 90 questions and must be completed within 90 minutes. Professionals are recommended to have at least nine months of hands-on experience before they take either exam.

CompTIA A+ certification is valid for three years after the exam. Professionals must complete continuing education to keep their certification status.
