Ordinary problems
A lot of complaints have been filed to the university management recently. Students have complained about the lack of a canteen and a Xerox point in the building of the college. We talked to one of the staff members last week who informed us that both problems had already been corrected.
EVERY STUDENT CAN AFFORD a sandwich straight from the vending machine. To help those students who do not have enough time to have breakfast at home, a machine selling sandwiches has been installed in one of the buildings last year. “The sandwiches are always fresh and taste delicious” — says Anna, one of the PWSZ student. What is more, they do not cost much. Just 3 pln.

AS YOU KNOW, when students are hungry, they have problems concentrating and consequently cannot be effectively focused on their lectures. That is why everyone was waiting for the opening of a buffet in our college, even though, it was taking ages. Now that it’s finally opened we can eat something delicious. We can choose from various meals (to be honest, not every course is healthy, but it’s a common fact that students particularly like those ones). Everyone can eat a hot meal which, for sure, will help survive the whole day in classes. Thanks to our canteen we can also exchange our thoughts and insights with other students.
THE NEXT FACILITY which the Collegium Primum building offers is the Xerox point. Almost every student wants to have access to a copying machine and to all services which it provides. The Xerox point, in fact, is a very important thing to students. We have asked a random student about the lack of the Xerox point. “For me, it’s an inseparable aspect of any college. We’ve got to deal with many projects, and essays. Sometimes, for psychology classes, we’re obliged to bring one or two chapters from books, which are available only in the library. It’s a very serious problem when we can’t use the Xerox.” Fortunately, this episode has a happy ending. We are able to use the Xerox point which was opened just last week. Our students can stave off this problem, and they can use the new Xerox without any limit.

Although there are some issues in our college, the PWSZ staff do their best to make our lives better. We have got for you a piece of advice — WRITE YOUR IDEAS AND THROW THEM TO THE BLACK BOX. If our administration had not arranged a lot of agreements, tenders or auctions, we would not have a canteen, or vending machines or the Xerox point. The truth is that students’ ordinary problems are college problems.
