ZERO XEROX

Last year, when October began, we started studying at out college. There was one special and mysterious place. Students were spending there all of their pocket money and losing their temper, standing in a queue which ended almost in front of the college. This place is called Xerox. Everyone had their own important handouts, copied even 5 minutes before the lectures.

Unfortunately, it has all changed now. When we came back this year, we found out that the Xerox point did not exist anymore. Students have been deprived of the possibility of photocopying and printing their notes. In the long run, it can be bothersome.

During our research we have learned why there is no Xerox point. The person who was running a business resigned from further cooperation with the college. Besides searching for a new one takes some time so the students have had no choice but to learn how to cope without copying point.

By the way, we need to mention about the fact that if any student has to print valid documents concerning the college, there are devices available to get it.

We have asked a lot of students about their opinions and they are not surprising. “Sometimes we are running out of toner in our printer and we need our handouts copied. However, the location of our college does not allow us to move quickly to a xerox point in the center of Oświęcim” said a English Philology sophomore. Students have mainly pointed out that they are not given any any chance to copy handouts that are not sent early enough.

Luckily, a new tenant is going to open the xerox point in the building but it will take some time. So we have to arm ourselves with patience and a photocopying centre will return to its place.
