As someone who benefits from the absolute most privilege on this PLANET (not just America) you can…

You know nothing about me and my personal life experience..What I do see as a free thinking American citizen who has was born into this world with nothing into a working class family and everything that I did manage to attain in my life though my own hard working efforts…no different than most black and white citizens in this nation. What I do see is that oppression of the past which should be studied in the history books and understood but no means define us in the present and into the future. It has become commonplace by some very erudite individuals that have skillfully learned how to exploit the oppressive sorted past and use it as political weapon to cast broad social blame on a large class of hard working people and divide this great nation of today…..That I find simply intolerable and a receipt for an endless cycle of hatred and blame….We are not living in the 1860’s, Lincoln freed the slaves, nor the 1960’s, LBJ legislated the Civil Rights Act of which many programs that were designed to assist in the inequity of institutionalized racism still exist today. I don’t believe our problems have been solved, its people that need to change for that to happen. I may not have an oppressed past but neither do you….you have the same rights as I do and the only difference is I don’t choose to hide behind it and gain political capital by labeling people racists who don’t share the same viewpoints as yourself…Again, my opinions have been shaped by news outlets distorting facts as long as they fit a nefarious agenda…..The truth is difficult to fathom when you think ideologically and not factually….I wish only for the best in people and for us to be honest with ourselves in filtering out the learned hatred purported to us on our news on a daily basis…Police and Citizens are human beings….but only White Policemen and Black Citizens are the order of the day…we are much, much more than that. I don’t have all of the answers but I reject the label as a White American born into white privilege that somehow should bear the guilt.
