Culture Armageddon: How liberals can resurrect everyone they left behind.

Part 1: Forward

I never cared about politics for two reasons: (1) there is almost nothing to gain and everything to lose for advocating politics as an individual and (2) I have seen second-hand suffering caused by public political opinions.

Over the past year, I’ve talked about politics and culture with many people. Those people, even my closest family and friends, were surprised that I got involved. The reason for me is clear: with the advances in social media, it wasn’t possible for me to hide my opinions without being a tinfoil-hat-wearing, social media recluse. While this has been true for over a decade, this election was the first time I felt personally demonized by those on the other side. In addition to attacking the candidate this time around, Democrats frequently attacked the supporters (we are uneducated, we are poor, we are racist, we are nazis, etc. etc.). This created a new reason to care about politics: freedom of opinion without consequences. Trump had to win, or even powerful people like Peter Thiel would be in serious personal and professional trouble. It no longer became a tug-of-war of values, after which both teams can go to the nearest bar and grab a beer. It turned into a gunfight, spurned by those who stretch the truth for profit and even theft.

As I argued my position with others, I also took notes that ended up turning into these posts.

I didn’t write this with well-formed arguments intent on changing minds. I wrote it in conversation format as a way to open minds. I don’t have a degree in gender studies and I’m not a professional debater. If you are looking to prove me wrong, it will not be hard to do so. In fact, these articles will probably waste your time. If, on the other hand, you are looking to win the 2024 election, you will need to swing votes, which this set of posts will enable you to do.

Why write this? Two reasons: one because I needed to release some energy. Two: the survival of the democratic party is at stake here, and no one wants a one-party system. As someone who has supported democratic candidates in the past, I want a strong candidate to follow Trump in 2024, but I don’t see the democratic party on a path to producing a viable candidate.

What about the 2020 election? Even if you start now, it will take until 2024 for you to regain what was lost. Don’t get discouraged if you still lose in 2020.
