Why I Still Use Vim
Casper Beyer

Wow, I love(d) Vim, but switched to Code a while ago — Your test computer stats are a bit dated, and skew the effect — I don’t dispute the ratio/difference, but its negligible on a modern computer — for instance, I’m on a Quad i7 with 16 gigs of ram, opening the xml test file is basically instantaneous in Code, and doing a search/replace on the entire file took about 3 seconds.

Vim is all powerful, i give it that, but the tools and integrations in Code (or Sublime, or WebStorm, etc…) far outweigh, in my opinion, the negligible speed/memory issues
