Microsoft, Google and Apple announced today a join publicity campaign to encourage their customers not to think. Titled, “Please Don’t Think,” the campaign will employ celebrities and catchy musical jingles to encourage consumers to “Please Don’t Think.” A spokesperson for the publicity agency heading up this campaign explained, “Profitability at large corporations is directly a function of how inclined consumers are to follow the herd. With just a bit of prompting, consumers can be encouraged to become greater herd followers. This brings greater profits to our clients and is good for everyone. Join in the chorus, won’t you? Please Don’t Think, Please Don’t Think, Your life is best when you Please Don’t Think.”
