The Secret Route to True Happiness
How to truly be happy & harness your mind

Why do you fumble with the key, when there is no door? -Sadhguru-
Our culture is built on the solid foundations of external gratification. It glorifies the constant chase after self-indulgence. The meta-modern mother of necessity, materialism, keeps on moving the goalposts. And we, on the other end of the hot receiver, gulp one publicity stunt after another.
We can’t really blame ourselves for aspiring to be happy. However, we are swept by the gravitational pull of the group, and the growing need to belong, which our forefathers endowed us with long ago.
From youth, we are fed and bred with a parakeet ideology sliding in the old metaphor of a hamster running on a wheel, chasing after grades & now also followers. It seems as though we are trained to take our human potential and flush it down the drains, just to get accepted to an Ivy League university or get that top-notch titular job. We sell our potential, we sell our true self, we sell our time.
But the worst of the recurring scenario is that eventually, when you reach 70, looking back on your life, first you realize you fucking made it, but wait a minute, were you happy back then? Have you been enjoying the ride? After all the checklists are wiped clean slates now, can you say with confidence that you have tasted the sweet molasses of happiness, or are you still looking for a new goalpost on the horizon?

The only way out, is in -Sadguru-
We perceive life around us only from the inside & naturally project it on the outside. The only way we can experience joy is from within, never without. Industrial cultures exploit our primordial need to believe and play on our imagination to instill in us cascades of doubt and a ground belief, that happiness is to be found outside of us.
They feed us with a golden spoon every day with the notion that happiness is somewhere out there, behind a domino-chip endless trail of ‘if’s. If you graduate from this school, then you’ll be happy, if you get that luxurious job, then you’ll be happy, if you buy this house, then you’ll be happy and on and on, you know the drill. Then, old and depleted of energy, you tear that last domino chip down, you unlock the last door and… nothing.
You want to believe you are happy so badly, but you still feel like crap, why is that? Happiness doesn’t just happen magically, it takes some inner reconstruction and engineering. First and foremost, you must tend to your inner self with all of your complexities. It’s a journey only you, and you alone can take, as you force yourself to go through the process of looking at your true self via a ruthless inner mirror, dropping all veils.
Afterward, when you will have finally recognized the core issues, you can take the time to pull out each thorn patiently. Set yourself to work on healing the core wounds underneath the shiny iceberg, every day. The final stop is when you will have reached a point where you reprogram your mind and body to self-love. That is the ONLY route to true happiness. As corny as it may sound, there are no shortcuts in life, and this rule applies to everything. But on the upside of it, at least now we’ve uncovered a more realistic and efficient way in which we can be truly happy, so get to work, cause your happiness is just a few reflections away.
But then again, that is just my POV.
