As a member of m2020, I can relate to so many of these concerns and thoughts; I was having the same worries you were exactly a year ago. Was the advanced curriculum going to be more than I was prepared for? Would I make friends? Was I going to learn enough Python in time? (I didn’t, glad to hear you’re on top of it. :P )

And now I’m laughing out loud reading “a few of my friends’ parents believe that I am at risk of straying into North Korea when I’m a sophomore” because although that wasn’t a concern a year ago, it’s all I hear about now, and it’s crazy to think we’re going through such a similar experience!

I’ve been so accustomed to feeling like I was the only one, because I’m the only one I knew before actually going to San Francisco. This post proves I’m really not.

Emma, I think you’ll have an amazing year, and figure it out really quickly. Thanks for writing this letter, and I’m sure I’ll see you in some facebook group very soon.
