David Frum is a book author (“Trumpocracy”), staff writer for “The Atlantic” magazine and one of the most prominent conservative intellectuals in the USA. During George W. Bush’s first two years in office from 2001 to 2002, Frum was his speechwriter. Frum is credited with the invention of the phrase “axis of evil”, with which Bush referred to enemies of the USA after September 11, 2001.
Although the 59-year-old Frum is officially registered as a Republican in the US electoral register, in 2016 he called for the election of the Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton, in a text for the “Atlantic”. Frum was thus one of the first Conservatives to oppose Donald Trump. He has held his position to this day.
