Wine or Cocktails — either goes better in GOVINO glasses
One of my favorite discoveries from the 2015 International Home + Housewares Show was a plastic glass that looked so glass-like, that you’d never guess it was plastic. But better yet, it was shatterproof. I had discovered the great resusable GOVINO glasses.
GOVINO’s 2017 Line
Jump ahead to 2017 and I was pleased to discover that they’ve really expanded their line to now include both standard, as well as dishwasher safe models of all their glasses.
Originally GOVINO was conceived as a way for professional wine salespeople to travel with suitable glasses to sample with, but later, they expanded into a full-fledged retail line.
Now, made of Tritan Plastic, all their ‘Dishwasher Safe Series’ is top rack, dishwasher safe as well as shatterproof, reusable and recyclable. Perfect for those ‘no-glass-allowed’ events, around the pool, or riding in the trunk of your car — just in case someone brings a bottle of wine.
Highlights of the Dishwasher Safe Series Classic Line:
- Comprised of a flexible BPA & BPS-free polymer
- Manufactured 100% in the USA
- Patented ergonomic thumb-notch and contoured base
- Shatterproof, reusable and recyclable
Sounds good, but are they really that cool?
In real life, they actually do look as good in use, as they do in the illustrations. Not only looking good, they are a delight to hold and drink from. The thumb notch is ingenious and definitely gives you a great grip, no matter how many times you’ve refilled it.
We love to use them on the patio and don’t have to worry should one of them get bumped off the table. Sure, you might lose your drink, but you won’t be stopping the party to clean up glass shards that typically cover an amazingly large area.
Available in all the popular sizes:
Not only are they available in all the most needed sizes, you can also add a matching 28oz decanter. Check out all their sizes and styles here. Order a set for your next party and you’ll be back for more. I’d bet my Riesling on it.
Disclosure: We were provided with samples in order to complete this review. Opinions however are strictly our own.
