Malay artist gets candid about how coffee inspired his artwork!
Ever heard about an artist who creates doodles inspired by everyday life using coffee ? We struck a goldmine when we collaborated with Kent ( dududoodle) for a content production project, can’t help sharing he has evolved his passion for drawing into a full fledged career…
Kent, a traveling artist has never stop drawing since the past 20 years. He seeks inspiration for his doodles from food and cafe vibes. The world is like a big drawing board for him that’s why he doodles on paper, serviette, coffee cups, leaf, shoes, table, canvas, food art, digital painting on tablet, coffee painting, cassette tape art and even on a 40ft wall.
Besides coffee, Hayao Miyazaki and Kim Jung Gi have deeply inspired him. Kent adores Mr. Hayao Miyazaki’s persistence in hand-drawn animations; while he’s also fascinated by Mr. Kim Jung Gi’s ability to draw solely equipped with an ink brush and his wild imagination. He simply loves their passion for traditional hand-drawn artful strokes.
He had collaborated with few well establish brands, one of his favourite project is working with Disney Malaysia by using cassette tapes to create Guardian of The Galaxy Vol 2 movie posters. He quotes, “it was fun and excited to create masterpiece with different medium.”
We recently teamed up with Kent while he created art inspired by Lego’s and coffee to reimagine what’s amazing about Malaysia using Legos. We are so excited to show off his work. In his words “ it’s my first time to create Malaysia architecture with Lego mainly based on my creativity and ideas”
