Moto GP is new to me!

On Phuel we are creating a platform for motorcycle riders to borrow each other’s bikes, experience more and go on adventures. This weekend one of our developers took to Moto GP for the first time and this is his story!

Moto GP — Big noise, unbelievable angles, crazy corners and great smashes-#QatarGP did not disappoint.

This level of racing is absolutely f*ing ridiculous! How can you get so close to the ground, whilst cutting someone up and defending your position…! It was all a bit of newbie edge of seat excitement for me but I got the bug.

So lets get going. It was Jorge Lorenzo who got his campaign off to a flyer despite having a slower top speed than the Ducati’s. There was a lot of talk about which manufacturer had nailed it but the Top 3 all finished on different machines:

1st) Lorenzo-Yamaha

2nd) Andrea Dovizioso-Ducati

3rd) Marc Márquez-Respol Honda

The race highlights are highly guarded by greedy TV companies but I recommend a watch!

And what did I learn? Firstly all the riders seem to hate each other or at least well up for a bicker and some handbags. Secondly, I probably respect those people more than any other sportsman or women in the world. Incredible feat of human performance! The speed, concentration and ambition is unsurpassed. The only thing I think that takes a bit more balls are the men of the Isle of Man TT and the Irish Road Racers!
