Maybe that’s why roses have thorns.
A story told by a dead flower

Perhaps it’s the thorns that have roses? I don’t pick flowers, I just go back to see them in situ to enjoy them as long as I can — without any need for ownership, or possession. Encouraging things, and people, to grow best in the environment that nurtured them is a better way of appreciation, I believe. However, if you want to nurture either you need to feed them — and pull a few weeds.
