They want to incorporate its essence into who they are, because they feel incomplete, or inadequate. They believe — falsely — that externally sourced beauty, ideas, happiness, achievement will make them “more full” of the stuff that they think they’re missing. Problem? Externally sourced variables are illusory, ephemeral. The only permanence is found in nurturing other living things without expectation — the more you give without expectation, the more you GET — in terms of growth and progress on your own path to enlightenment.
